Not worth 229.00
This light has some cool features, but I wouldn't shell out another 229 bucks. The Good: Easy to see with as stated. Very cool to have a perfect circle of light on target with no dispersion. Easy on/off switch and easy to adjust collimator. Good battery life. It works very well coon hunting and spotting in trees. I use it in conjunction with a Surefire mounted on the fore end under the barrel.
The Bad:
Effective range is 100 yds or less. I have used it for multiple hunts and it definitely spooks game so don't fall for the hype that game cannot detect it. Scope mount is very cheaply made, I threw mine away and used two Weaver flat muzzle loader bases and a set of low Weaver rings to mount it to my scope and it works well, and stays put. Overall there are cheaper alternatives for night hunting that provide better lighting.
My next quest will be testing durability/longevity.... More

needs improvements
Really good illumination to 100yds not 250 as proclaimed by manufacture. Light itself is good quality but mounts needs improvements. Game can see this light as I used it on a south Texas hog hunt and they recognized the illumination instantly and ran making for very short shot placement time before they run.... More

Cost effective
Laser/light is very effective. Good contrast past 100 yards. True that it is best in complete darkness. Only complaints are as said before the mount needs work- won't hold zero under recoil. Also, I am not sure that hogs can't see it. I've lit up two so far and both responded to being “painted” with it (both at about 125 yds.) However, for the money this is hands down the best current alternative to night vision.... More

Great Light - Poor Mounts
Bought light for hog hunting - my hunting buds were very impressed! The plan was to mount on 30mm scope but kit does not include 30mm scope ring option. Alternatively decided to mount on my Savage Scout with Leupold Scout Scope (1" tube). However, after 1st round the light would not stay in "zeroed" position. Finally, decided to buy a Burris Tactical HD scope ring with upper mount/rail and aftermarket light holder/mount adding $50.00 to the total cost of an already expensive flashlight. In retrospect, would probably have thought twice about purchase or considered other light options. Verdict: Excellent flashlight/laser; Fair mount options and quality. Recommendations: Consider stronger mounting options for your particular application such as UTG on a 1913 "Picatinny" or Weaver rail.... More

weak battery
I wasn't sure it was going to work as hyped after installing the included battery and turning it on.
After installing a new battery for high drain device it performed great. The scope mount with windage and elevation is easy to use and very functional. The laser is powerful.
