Jeff Fox

I recently went back to Ohio (I currently live in CO) with my son, to visit my father. It was to be a shooting and fishing trip and it was. Out on the farm, I'd wanted to involve my father in my son's first time shooting and fishing. My dad of course taught me how to hunt, fish and shoot. Ayden, my son, is his only grandson.

Anyway, my dad had a nice pellet rifle we thought would be a great first gun for my son to shoot. However, it was a little large for his frame, but he wanted to shoot it anyway. Having the stock under his arm and his eye a little too close to the scope, the pellet rifle kicked back and popped him right between the eyes giving him a little character building cut! We thought that was the end of his shooting, we were wrong!

He really wanted to shoot my .308 pictured, with a SWFA SS 10x42 HD scope. Well luckily for him, dad and granddad know better. Though I wouldn't let him shoot it...yet, my dad and I did our best to instruct him on proper form and position as best we could. My mom snapped this photo of 3 generations of shooters. He'll soon enough grow into this rifle and will be giving his "old-man" a run for his money in long range shooting!
