Ronnie FosterWe were hunting down in the Sonoran Desert just north of Hermocillo Mexico. We spotted this deer the night before at last light and verified he was the buck I wanted to harvest, but decided to wait until the next day due to the lighting conditions. We returned the next morning to the area we had seen him the previous night and came across him bedded on a hillside with a group of 4 or 5 doe at about 450 yards away. We stalked him and got as close as we felt comfortable without risking spooking them. I used my Zeiss 10X45 Victory RF rangefinding binoculars to range him at a solid 245 yards away. I got comfortable and settled in behind my Zeiss Victory Diavari FL 4-16X50 with the Rapid-Z 800 reticle, held over accordingly, and slowly squeezed a round off. Boom...Thump. It was a direct hit, he dropped in his tracks. He was a solid 4x4 scoring right at 180" Thanks to SWFA for supplying me with superior optics to be able to accomplish the hunt of a lifetime.
