Kandahar, Afghanistan: Uncle Sam doesn’t always spend enough taking care of our Armed Forces in our Global War on Terrorism, so sometimes we have to take care of ourselves. As an Army Aviator, my primary duty of flying our infantry and Special Forces brethren into and out of battle doesn’t entail a lot of shooting, so while our ground forces are fairly well equipped with small arms and optics, us aviators tend to end up short. Still, I like to be prepared for the worst. In case I go down, I’ll have a better ability to keep the terrorists at a distance with my ACOG-equipped M4 carbine. Accessories, like the hard-to-find Trijicon ACOG Screw and Washer Set and Tenebraex KillFLASH, were key to outfitting my rig for duties outside the wire. Thanks SWFA and Trijicon!
