The aimpoint pictured on this M4 is not issued. The teams got all we had, and the battalion guys made do with whatever they could scrounge. I figured this may be the case, so before deploying in the spring of 2003, I purchased my own M68 from SWFA. I needed it NOW and SWFA had them in stock---the only dealer who did at that time---and SWFA shipped it to me within days of my order. It was in my hands before my port-call.

This photo was taken by my gunner (unnamed current operator) in July 2004 near BIAP. As intel indicates: "Don't shoot the Americans with pockets on their sleeves. They will kill you. Just lay down and surrender..." Heheh.
