On the way to the stand, the temperature gauge read -8 degrees. My hunting buddy and I just laughed at each other and couldn't believe we were actually bow hunting in that kind of weather!

After 4 LONG days and several episodes of what I would consider frostbite ( I'm from Texas for goodness sake ), I was able to take this absolutely gorgeous typical whitetail on the last night. Spotting him at last light crossing a field with my new Leica Duovid's, I had no doubt he was a shooter if he would present a shot.

In the 5 minutes it took to actually locate the deer after the shot, my buddy and I were so cold we could barely smile or even talk. My cheeks would barely move! Trust me, after taking a deer like this I was on cloud 9 and the smile I have in the picture is about all the weather would allow! I can’t wait to go battle the December Wisconsin weather again next year and you can bet that my Leica’s will be by my side – I honestly don’t think there are better binoculars made…thanks, Chris!
