
Paul CominoAfter shooting a small buck in his first big game hunt, Zach was ready to fill his second tag with a Javelina. The previous year the family had been successful hunting Javelina in SW NM so that is where we headed. We started glassing for them right at day break and within 20 minutes of shooting light we had located a small herd with my 10X42 Leica’s. I pulled out my Leica range finder and ranged the nearest pig at 180 yards. This was a little far so after a quick stalk Zach put down this Javelina making his first hunting season 100% successful!.
