Paul CominoJosh had drawn a buck tag for the unit we live in NM. He was 17 years old this year and coming home from college on some weekends as it is a 3.5 hour drive. This weekend he had come home on the opening day. The previous week I had been out scouting for him knowing that he had very limited time and that we could not go to far from the house. I had seen very little as it had been hot and most of the deer had gone nocturnal. The night before opening morning Josh got home at about 1:00 AM. I woke him up early and off we went. We hiked into where I thought the deer would feed out of and sure enough I saw them moving out of a ravine. I quickly glassed up the best buck of the 3 and told Josh the last buck was the best one. He made a quick 200 yard off hand shot that really worried me, but, sure enough when we got to the landmark of where he shot the buck was only 10 yards away. The Leica range finder and binoculars I purchased from SWFA are always used and are a big part of why our freezers continue to remain full. Paul used:
