Dear sir,

My name is Corporal Matthew Kohout USMC. not to long ago my unit deployed to Al Taqaddum Iraq. We are an Infantry unit, a weapons company and I am a Designated Marksman. Many of our designated marksman used ACOGS, however as our platoon was frequently used to patrol out side the wire and search for weapons stashes as well as many other special missions, I used on several occasions the SS scope both while pulling the trigger on combat missions as well as observation and intelligence gathering and am pleased to report that it worked very well. The desert environment is very hard on equipment and the scope that I had went off without a hitch for more than 10 months of constant use and abuse. Thanks for providing a fantastic product. As a witness to this scopes performance I am sending as a file attachment a letter of commendation that I received as a direct result of your SS scope as well as some pictures.

......excerpt from Commendation; ".....ON 27 MAY 2004, HIS PLATOON BECAME ENGAGED IN AN ENEMY AMBUSH. LANCE CORPORAL KOHOUT DISPLAYED DEADLY ACCURACY WITH HIS M-16A4 RIFLE AS HE PROVIDED FIRE AT RANGES UP TO 500 METERS. THROUGH BINOCULARS HIS FIRE TEAM LEADER DIRECTED HIM TO TARGETS AND SAW AT LEAST ONE ENEMY COMBATANT FALL. HIS ACCURACY PREVENTED THE ENEMY'S FIRE FROM BEING EFFECTIVE."
