My buddy and I started getting into long range shooting a little over a year ago, I bought a Savage Tactical rifle chambered in .308 win. I'd shot out to 400 yds since I was young to practice for hunting, and I got my first buck when I was 10 yrs old. I'd been shooting for years, so our plan was to reach out much further with greater accuracy than ever before. I joined an online forum called Sniper Central and after much research on optics I decided (with the recomendation of many Sniper Central members) to buy the Super Sniper 10x42 rifle scope.

The rifle shot very well with the Super Sniper and I soon found a place to shoot from 500 yds to 740 yds. This would be the true test of my rifle, my handloads, and my Super Sniper scope. We started out shooting eggs at 500 yds, my best at this distance is hitting 10 eggs with 13 shots. At 612 yds I've hit 4 eggs in 5 shots, and at 740 yds I've hit 2 eggs with 5 shots. At 740 yds we often shoot clay pigeons, making hits is much easier this way, an egg is very small at that distance and conditions are most often not in our favor. This is a picture of our set up for shooting out to 740 yds. We are in Washington State and it often rains so we have a large tent set up over us. You can see me getting ready to squeeze the trigger, and my buddy spotting the shots next to me. This sport is great fun and I couldn't be happier with the performance of this package.
