Barry ClarkThis is Peyton (age 10) during a shoot with a Tikka T3T .308 and a Rock River LAR-15 5.56, both with Black Hills loads. We shoot at our sod farm, ranges 100 to 400 yards. The targets this day at 261 yards were easy picking with either set up. Peyton says she likes the 5.56 much better because of the lower recoil and the fact that she can get back on the target much quicker. She likes to set up balloons or painted clays in various distances and elevations and then see how quickly she can pop them all. We compete on total time. It is amazing how quickly the day goes when you are shooting.
Peyton is helping to teach the second of three daughters (Aubrey, age 6) to shoot the Red Rider and the Henry Chip Monk, just as she had learned.
The Leupold 6.5-20 Mark 4 LR/T TMR is an excellent scope. We also use Badger rings, Leupold yellow intensifier, Alumina flip up lens covers, and a BSA 18-36X50 spotting scope. If you get a Leupold scope, get the Leupold covers too as they work much better than anything else that you can attach. Thanks SWFA for the great service, prices, and products! Barry used:
