Pictured is my Rem. 700 VLS in .223 Rem., With a Nikon Monarch 6x24 purchased from SWFA, and of course, a nice wild pig.
This was a strange hunt. Myself and a couple of friends went out hunting for coyotes. We got set up and started calling, and after about only 10 minutes, this bunch of wild pigs showed up looking for a meal of rabbit. I had pig tags so I took the shot from about 175 yards with a 50 gr. Barnes XLC. I placed the shot in the neck hitting the spine. I wasn't too sure about using a .223, but with the scope/bullet combination, it worked out just fine!
