Without a doubt the Acog 4X32 series scopes are some of the most rugged and dependable scopes available. However, we think it is missing a very important component--lens covers. Our new product development team, decided it was time to provide our customers with a method to not only mount the scope, but protect the lenses of this expensive optic.
The package includes the GG&G compact Acog Mount with integral front lens cover adapter, the rear lens cover adapter, and a set of custom Buttler Creek lens covers that provide weatherproof, dust proof and moisture proof protection for the Acog lenses. Two different versions are available, one to fit the TAO1, TA31, TA31F and TA31RCO and a version to fit TA01NSN. Although the design and methodology are so unique that a patent is pending, the compact Acog scope mount with integral cover system is easy to install.
The Accucam Acog Quick Detach Mount provides you with a solid method to quickly install or remove the scope from the weapon. The scope can quickly be installed on a dovetail rail in seconds by rotating the Accucam Lever to the locked position and can just as quickly be removed by rotating the Accucam Cam Lever to the unlocked position. Unlike other QD lever systems, it is fully adjustable to fit Weaver and MIL-STD-1913 dovetails, even those that are worn or out-of-spec. The ergonomic finger loop of the lever is easily operated, even with a gloved hand, and the round design is virtually snag-proof. The Accucam mechanism is manufactured from solid billet 4140 steel and manganese phosphated matte black per mil-spec.

Damn Fine Products
Well what to say, I own an Oly Arms CAR-97/M4 and a DPMS Panther LR-308 AP4 and they are both beasts. I bought the mount for the M4 and a Trijicon TA31DOC and mounted them both on the rifle and it's a nail driver. One day at the range just for giggles I moved the setup over to the DPMS LR-308 to see if it would be on target and surprisingly it was dead on for windage at 100 yards and on elevation it was off less than a half inch to one inch high, so I tweaked the elevation setting 2 clicks and it was bulls eye for two magazines. I moved it back to the M4 and dropped the elevation back 2 clicks and bingo we were still dead on. So what does this say about the mount? Well for me it means I can move the rig between the .223 M4 and the .308 AR10 and shoot all day and multiple swaps didn't make a difference on accuracy. I tried the sane exercise with my EOTech SU-231PEQ 553.A65 and had to tweak elev/win settings. I plan on buying a second mount for my other ACOG's and see what happens.... More
