After half a century, the UZI submachine gun will still be found in law enforcement and military gun racks throughout the world. It’s a weapon that, in design and function, still leaves little to be desired, except in one major area. It was designed without any thought whatsoever to adding the tactical accessories that are today considered to be de rigueur.

,p>The hit probability of the UZI submachine gun - which fires from the open-bolt position - can be greatly increased by installation of a vertical foregrip, as weapons of this type are most often deployed in the full auto mode, especially at distances under 15 yards. It has been clearly demonstrated that use of a vertical foregrip can significantly diminish muzzle jump even during burst-fire sequences of only two or three rounds.

GG&G has recently introduced an inexpensive Under Forearm Integrated Rail (UFIR) specifically designed for the UZI submachine gun. This unique accessory rail permits instant installation and removal of a substantial number of different vertical foregrips, as well as flashlights and numerous other tactical accouterments.

The cost-effective UZI UFIR attaches securely to the UZI bayonet lug by means of a set screw and provides a solid, rugged mounting platform. The UZI UFIR is manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum alloy and is hard coat anodized flat black per mil spec. The 4.5-inch accessory rail is machined to MIL-STD-1913 standards.
