Best for the money.
As far as I'm concerned this is about the best scope of this type that can be had for the money. It's the only one that combines all of the necessary reticle features--excellent design, first focal plane, & illumination--with very good glass, superb durability, fairly light weight, & reasonable cost. Having both the reticle & the turrets calibrated in the same measurement format, Mils in this case, is also a huge advantage! I also like having a turret mounted rheostat rather than one on the ocular bell where they are most often located, and very often in the way. There are a couple of other options I would like to see though. Those are either capped or locking turrets & higher magnification (4-16 for example). It's very easy to accidentally turn a turret while moving around and/or crawling into position. Having capped or locking turrets would prevent this. A zero stop would be nice as well, but it is still a damn good scope for the money!!!... More

IOR 2.5 x10
Over a year ago, I purchased this scope, and have waited as long to pass judgment. After using it last year, I can say that this is the variable that all 2.5-10's should be measured against. I like the adjustments, the clicks are very crisp. The adjustments pass the box test. No reticle cant. The glass is exactly what you'd expect from Schott, and is difficult to beat by Japanese glass that are in this price point/class. Very bright at dusk, that’s for sure. You don't need the illumination really, though it’s a nice touch and is more than usable during low light shooting at higher magnifications. The reticle is awesome and you are easily able to Mil at the lower powers, though at 2.5 and 3x, difficult to see with the FFP, not impossible though just more difficult. Overall, this thing is built like a beast. It is a great scope for a SPR type build, or for a .308 precision bolt gun. Really, this is money well spent. You won't be disappointed with it, so buy with confidence!!!... More

Far better than previous generation IORs
I'd give it 4.5, if I could; it isn't a 5, but it isn't a 4 either.
Turrets are a big improvement, but I'd still like a little more resistance in the clicks. 5 mils/turn.
Illumination system is far superior to previous generations. Now, only the center dot is illuminated, rather than previous version that illuminated the entire reticle - and even the lowest setting was far too bright.
Glass is typical IOR, very good.
The reticle is very nice, 15 mils on the vertical axis, dot center, FFP.
Head position at 10X is a little unforgiving, not difficult to find, but not real forgiving of movement once you find it.
Great scope for the money. Finally an IOR with mil turrets and mil reticle (FFP), makes adjusting fire much easier.... More
