Insanely Innovative
Just got my first SWFA SS HD scope (1-4x, donut reticle, capped turrets), and I couldn't be any happier. This thing is built like an absolute tank, and the reticle is insanely innovative. It's so easy to use at any of the scope's designed distances that I'm shocked similar systems are not more commonly produced. Words cannot even begin to express how excited I am to be an owner of this scope. Great job SWFA.... More

Completely Satisfied
I went through a lot of scopes on my ARs before the SS 1-4x came out. I was just never quite satisfied and always wanted to try something else that might be a little better. I have had the two 1-4xs for a while now and shot with them a lot. I no longer have any desire whatsoever to try anything else, I am finally satisfied with my scopes.
Based on the little bit of use so far with the 5-20x, I am pretty certain it will be the same. I will never want anything else.... More

Better Than Schmidt Bender
I've been reading some very “defensive” posts by S&B Short Dot owners on the various boards in regards to the SS 1-4X. It seems like SWFA did such a great job with their 1-4 that it's leaving some mighty defensive about spending $1800 more on a scope without much to show for it. ;-)

Everything I Could Ever Need For An AR
I have two of the SS 1-4x scopes, and planning to get two more. One of each of the reticles. I just love the FFP. People who claim it is not needed or dumb for a 1-4x have no idea what they are talking about. It it is the neatest reticle design I have ever used. Both of them just pull your eye to the center when it is on 1x, the donut being a little better in that regard. At 4x it is all you need for mid range shots. I have had low powered scopes from Trijicon (Acog and Accupoint), IOR, Burris, Leupold, Sightron, and the SS just puts them all to shame. It has everything I could ever need for an AR or DG scope.... Great 1-4X
True 1X on the low end, no tunneling at any power, turrets are good, clicks are well spaced, glass is great, illumination is very good - extra battery compartment is a nice touch.
For an M4 or clone, it is about perfect.
