Super Scope
This scope is ideal for daylight target use and I'll bet it would be hell on prairie dogs. The knobs are very consistent adjustments. In low light it looks a little grey but that is the nature of any scope with high power in a 42mm objective. 42 divided by 20 power = 2.1 mm exit eye pupil so this is a daylight use scope if you need low light use select a lower power or a larger objective. Really fun scope I'd like to have a couple more of them.

Top glass
I bought the first SS scope about 6 or 7 years ago with the idea in my mind that I had to buy a scope twice as expensive as the rifle; a Tikka T3 Tactical was $1,400.00 back then and I recoiled at the idea of spending more than 800 for a scope.
When I found this website, SWFA, and found this scope, I was skeptical since I thought (as everyone else) that a Tasco would be useless, but I bought it based on the extensive reviews, all very good reviews by the way. When I received the scope, I was shocked at the quality of the glass, mechanically it never lost zero through many matches; I just zeroed and forgot about it. SWFA has the best prices, period.
Now, in 2009, I just bought a Savage 10FCP-k with the new Accustock; and the first thing I did was buy one of these scopes again; the glass remains in the top shelf as quality is concerned; and to my surprise the turrets are even better than before, strong clicks; and all brass inside.
At this price, it's true: “nothing comes close”

20x42 SS scope
I just mounted my forth SS 20x on a 25-06 and will be sighting it in within a few weeks.
I have them on .223, .308, 7mm Rem. Mag. and now a 25-06 all Savages… 2 model 10's, 1 model 112vlp, and 1 model110fp. Looking through these scopes with my older eyes has made a huge difference in how I see out to 200 yards, glass is clear and has made shooting alot easier now that I can find the holes without a spotting scope.
For the price there is no way you can beat these. I'll be back for more.

20X42 SS
I've had this 20X42 mounted on my DPMS .308 Panther for a little over a year. Optics are as clear as a Mark IV LRT I have installed on a Rem. 700. This scope has held up just fine to the AR-10 .308 recoil. Great scope and the price point makes it more attractive. Not having side focus is a bit of a detractor, but nothing major.

I have this scope on three of my custom sniper rifles. I also have NF 8x32x56 NSX on my others. Up 600 yds this scope is on par with the NF. Great scope for the price!!
