Great Optic / Sweet Price
I must say that I am new to the Vortex Brand, I had heard of them before, but I did not know anyone that had one personally. I was looking for a nice high-power scope for my new DPMS LR-308T AR-10 so I figured for $99 bucks I'd give the Vortex a try and boy am I glad that I did. This is one of the highest quality optics that I own and I would put it up against scopes that well over a thousand dollars. The adjustments are easy and it only took 5 shots to get it where I needed it to be and it consistently held up to shoot sub moa groups at 100 yards. I can’t wait to take it to a longer distance range. The focus is amazing and you don't get that wobble effect that some scopes give you when your zoomed all the way in. I am seriously considering replacing a tactical Leupold scope on my Remington 700 with one of these. For the money you CANNOT go wrong. I am now and will be a Vortex Customer For Life and I even purchased the Strike-Fire Red-Dot for my AR-15 which was an excellent decision.

Very good glass and durability
I have had one mounted on a heavy kicking magnum spring airgun since last year. I have been very impressed with this scope for two main reasons.
This scope has taken a beating through several hundred rounds on my Webley Patriot. This gun has damaged one other scope and two pairs of mounts. Considering the size and weight of this scope I didn't expect it to hold up. It's still ticking and I'm impressed.
Secondly, the glass and the reticle suit my low light hunting needs. The glass is way above average for its price point. The mil-dot is also fairly easy to use in low light. It won't show up like a heavy plex or 4A, but it certainly keeps up with many standard plex types.
It rates definite buy at this price.

DPMS Sweet 16
This is a great scope for the money!! Very clear, all adjustments are tight but easy to do. Clicks are crisp and audible. Very well made scope. No it is not a $100 scope but it is way better than most inexpensive scopes. Only slight drawback is the cross hairs are a little thick, but for a hundred bucks very, very easy to live with. You can't go wrong with this scope if you are looking for 24X and don't have a $1,000.00!!!

More scope than I expected
Wow this thing is a monster. I didn't expect much for a clearance sale and $99 price tag. I figured if it worked great but if not I would return it for something proven to work well.
I am going to keep this one! Shot about 400 rounds through an AR with this scope and the Burris PEPR mount. It held zero well and only took me a few minutes to zero it in. I didn't even use a spotting scope. I would just zoom in and it was easy seeing where the rounds were placed. We were shooting from 100 yds out to 400 yds and the clarity was very good.
Overall a win in my mind.

A must buy
I wasn't expecting much as this is a high magnification, low priced scope, discounted to bargain basement prices. Boy was I shocked. For my intended purpose of prairie dogs and paper punching with a .223 this should be a great setup. Everything functions as it should with no undue play or slop and the glass is far above what I was expecting in this price range. Past experience with higher power scopes in this price range has led me to expect that they will pretty much become unusable at higher power due to the low quality glass. Not so with this scope. Nice and clear all the way to 24x with good focusing from the A/O. Although the eye relief is good eye position with this scope does seem much more critical even on lower power settings than with some other scopes. At this price and for its intended use though I think I can live with that. At this price it's a 5 Star scope.
