SWFA 10x42 SS - Mil-Quad Reticle, 30mm, .1 MIL Clicks, Side Focus

I haven't mounted this scope yet but on initial inspection it is an excellent piece! Glass, clarity, finish, tracking all very impressive. Money well spent. The scopes quality is way above it’s price point in all aspects.

I bought this after doing a ton of research. I am very glad I did. The glass is good, nice and clear and doesnt have any distortion to speak of. The eye box is forgiving and far above most scopes at this price range. The reticle is thin and you can actually see your target (unlike half of the super reticles out there theses days). The turret clicks are very positive, easy to feel your adjustments. I like the side focus paralax adjustment, its just easier for me to work with. I have box tested this thing, I have shot it from 100 yards all the way out to 800. The scope works well and does what it is supposed to. I got 15 in a row at 800 on steel, impressive for a 10x and old eyes.

Picked up the side-focus SWFA SS 10x42 (Mil/Mil) during the Black Friday sale. It will eventually end up on a 6.5 Creedmoor, but for now I threw it on my AR15 with the SWFA S.S.A.L.T mount. What an incredible value the SS scopes are...clear glass, clean reticle, solid construction, and spot-on tracking. After zeroing, I dialed in the necessary elevation for a 250m target and put 5 rounds w/in 1 MOA. Dialed again to 350m with the same results and lastly dialed back for a 225m shot at a soda can which exploded spectacularly on the second shot. This is a budget scope that doesn't behave like a "budget" scope. Accurate turret tracking is a must - and the SWFA SS 10x42m delivers. I am a very satisfied customer and would buy another SWFA SS scope w/o any reservation.
